Week 4 completed!

I can’t believe I have managed to complete week 4! I have had late nights, rain, early starts, ran at 8in the evening after 12 hour days! I have ran 3 times 16 minutes!

Little anxious about week 5 run 3 of 20 minutes when week 6 1 and 2of following week is run and walk but can only trust the programme.

I am still very slow when ‘jogging’ but hoping to build up speed as I go along.

Still listening to Queen and walking at least10 miles every weekend and compelting other exercise when I can.

Any advice on final run of week 5 greatly appreciated

Fantastic, well done....

Having completed Wk5R3 all I can suggest, is to practice your SMILE 😁

It's the best run of the plan.... Trust me 👍

I will it is the third run I am trying not to panic about! Not sure why you need to do it as the following week it is running a similar distance with breaks of a walk in between.

Just keep saying follow the programme!

Not sure if I feel like a ‘runner’ yet.

There are many posts about Wk5, especially the 3rd run.

Iannodatruffe (Mentor) has written a great post about it..... At the end of the day it's just another run. And yes if you follow the plan you will see why.

Then yes Wk 6 it goes back to walk /run which can catch people out... But there's a reason to why it's done like that.... Reduce injury, Increase stamina and fitness and prepare you for running 30 minutes non stop...

You will have good runs and not so good runs, just like you have good and bad day's....

Just take each one as it comes 👍

W6R1 looks easy and catches a lot of people out! It’s certainly the step up at the start of a week that you’d expect... again just take those intervals nice and slowly when you get to them. Fear no run, some are tough... you are tougher.

Thank you, first run week 5 Monday another late one due to meetings but found it quite nice to run when everybody else is home eating, watching TV! I will be a runner before Christmas 🤶

Great job. You’ll be ready for that run 3... if you count in the walk break you’ll see that run 2 is longer, it’s actually an easier workout on the lungs and legs. It’s all about the mind... keep the pace down and tell yourself you can and will do it... you’ll love it!

Well done! I knew you would.

I completed first run week 5 and just got into it and had to have a walking break, hopefully I will be fine Saturday.

Let me know how run one week 6 is as that is supposed to catch people out (whatever that means)

Well done
