Well, title says it all. Dropped Hubby-to-Be at his second gym session of the week and, after a brief discussion on 'why don't I run in the area the leisure centre is in?' (Main road. Right next to a local secondary school. I think not.) I took myself to the park again and, despite Cecelia's half hearted attempt to remind me that I have a slight cold, I grabbed a pack of tissues and did my run to the end, even with my leg muscles burning a bit as Sarah piped up telling me that the last minute was coming up. (For this run I found thinking "it's only 3 minutes...with 2 more after for good luck, i can do that" was quite helpful)

The aftermath finds me sitting in the coffee shop of the leisure centre waiting for HTB to finish his session so we can go home for a late breakfast. Bring on week 5!

Well done :)

I think the fact that you can go to the park and do your run and still have time to sit in the coffee shop should be enough to stop the discussion about where you run!!! :D

Well done , Best to sort out who's Boss before marching up the aisle !! Like you I like to run in familiar area where have had successful runs !

Did you tell him to get a move on with his workout so you're not left hanging around waiting for breakfast ? Or was that a step too far ??

Anyway maybe not good idea to take relationship advice here ,purely running advice !!

HTB's gym sessions are done with a trainer - thought best as when he's into something he'll work too hard right at the beginning and keep going until he's worn out, then lose interest. I'm perfectly happy to wait for him once my own run's finished

Sounds great - you're absolutely rocking this plan! :) By the end of next week, you're over half-way through! :)
