Remember back in week something or other when I signed up for a 5k...? Well I only went and did it. A slow and steady 42 minutes (I wasn’t last though). And apart from a wee recovery walk around 4K I did actually run it all. I wouldn’t say it was easy but it’s given me the confidence for park run 🏃♀️
I ran 5k!: Remember back in week something or... - Couch to 5K
I ran 5k!
Amazing, well done you. 😁😁😁
Well done! 🏅
Brilliant well done Lapsedyogi, amazing!! Enjoy Parkrun
Congratulations on 🏃 running your first 5K. I know that it is a great feeling having ran a 5K irrispective of the time, the great feeling I had when I was doing C25K were after 3 runs
1:-W5R3
2:-W9R3
3:-First full run at 5K distance.
Once again well done to you. 😊
Woohoo! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Major landmark run. Well done you! Parkrun here you come! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Well done I was going to do that in Brighton yesterday but my leg would not let me run back to sport psycho on Tuesday for more treatment get fed up now
It is a great feeling. I remember that I had signed up for a 5Mile fun run back in the day, and what with one thing and the other, I had to run it without finishing the C25K program, and it was a great feeling to run about 80% of it, even though there were people walking faster than me. Well done on your 5K. It will be great tracking your progress in parkrun, as you will undoubtedly get it down from 42 minutes after a few weeks.
Great run... nice bling... hope you also had lots of fun! You’ll love parkrun.
Fantastic
Well done you 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
I’m thinking of signing up for a Boxing Day 5k fun run but I don’t know if I have the nerve to run with other people
That was my first time running outside. Never mind with people! It was actually quite motivating. The stewards were awesome at cheering everyone on and I got a final burst of energy when I saw the finish line. I’ve signed up for Christmas Day Parkrun 😱
Fantastic well done ..its an amazing feeling the 5 k ...all the best 😀😀
Very well done! Park run here you come🏃♀️🏃♀️👏👏🤗🤗
Well after 9 weeks of emotional ups and downs but no actual injuries, stitches, aches, or pains, I only went and overdid it at the first opportunity - and I’m paying the price with very stiff thighs today. Apologies and hat tips to all the sensible voices on here who warned me. Lesson learned. Rest today, yoga tomorrow, and a teeny weeny slow run Wednesday.
