Yay I ran 5k!

I set off on my second consolidation run with my timer set for 30 mins thinking if I felt good I would run for a little longer. When the bell rang I felt a bit tired and was wondering whether to keep going, then I realised I’d already done a bit longer while making my mind up so kept going... I then started to wonder how hard it would be to go for the 5k so kept going a bit more. By the time my app told me I’d done 4K I was pretty tired but thought I might as well go a little further, just to the next corner... then the next... surely I was almost there! It then seemed silly to give up as I felt sure I must’ve nearly done it but crikey that last kilometre was a blooming long one! By the time I finished I was ready to drop by I did it! It might be a while before I do it again but now I know I can 😄

Hi W,

Well , now you have run 5K , you know you are going to be challenging yourself each time you go out for a jog n’ run ! :)

Congratulations for thinking so positive as you placed one foot in front of the other - and , yes you were correct. Why would you stop when your on your way to success .

All I can tell you , it gets better , there will be magical moment that just happen and you just can’t stop running .

There will also be the off days when you go out with good intentions and, you decide to come home.

My neighbour ( a marathon runner) told me this will happen - so come home :)

Enjoy your next run whatever it is :) 🐾
