Hi all, I graduated early August and carried on my running 30 mins 3 times a week gradually increasing my times and distances leading up to 5k (36-42 mins) 4 times. My distance was averaging 4.3 k for 30 mins, all of which I was really happy with and enjoying it.
We went away mid September for a week, but couldn't find anywhere suitable to run so I left it for a week.
On our return I restarted running, but since coming back I've really struggled. I've been getting stitches which have stopped me running a couple of times. I've also found it harder on my legs and struggled with my breathing as well, which I've not struggled with before.
I'm going on my first park run this Saturday, so I'm hoping that will help jig me on a bit.
Any ideas on what I could do to help me get my "mojo" back. I know everyone has bad days but mine is stretching into weeks at the mo π

Perhaps you could for at least one week reconsider running this weekends parkrun, if anyone has a injury it is never the time to continue to run, by all means run it if you recover from any stiches you had, if it's just your mojo that is stopping you to run, well in that case get on with the run.
I also graduated in August and had my first failed run about 3 weeks later, big panic walked for a while got my head together, turned it into an interval run 100 steps as fast as I could go and 100 walking and got around my intended route , I am still running 3 times a week including a park run, I just keep mixing it up, i am vary slowly upping the distance currently at 7 k, have you tried a tempo run, just running slower than normal pace, did my first a couple of weeks ago, very rewarding breathing was very controlled and first time since finishing C25k I have had that how far have I come feeling when I checked my pace on strava it was not that much slower than normal pace, good luck mate, Keep running
Thanks tony, some sound advice, I'll def have a look at a tempo run. Tried the stamina and speed podcasts and quite enjoyed them - pre holiday of course π, thanks again.
