Gave myself extra recovery time as 3 riding lessons in 24 hours rather wears the old legs out! So w5r1 was last Thurs and did r2 after work today. It was on the dreadmill but the confessions podcast got me through.
I was surprised when SM said I was half way through the first 8 mins. It didn't like I had done 4 mins already so that's good. Even upped the speed with one minute to go on the 2nd run. Up to a whole 7km/hr. Will be some time before I can do that pace consistently.
I really want to do my first big 20 min outside but that's planned for Thurs and I'll be working. Is it acceptable to pull a sicky so I can run on the downs ? 🤔
Other news today. I tracked down an old college friend and plucked up the courage to email them. Not had contact for nearly 30 years. I got kind of nervous. What if they don't want to reconnect? Well good news is they want to meet up. I've been sat here with a stupid grin on my face since receiving their email 😁
The cat is acting weird and chasing round the coffee table. Think I better check to see if she has brought me a "present" (normally alive) 🐁🐁
