Hi everybody,

Did the run at lunchtime today. At the beginning Laura started that it’s now more about the mental challenge as well as the physical one, and she is (of course) right imo.

It was not easy, but then I don’t think any if it is easy, but the only way I got through it was by thinking things like, I’m halfway through the first run so I’m not giving up now. Or I did the first run, so I can do the second....

Managed it in the end, and now feel great! I’m not going to say anything negative about R3 which should be on Friday 😆

Have a good rest of the day!

Some of the running is mind games . As long as you can keep telling yourself you can do it and keep it slow you can get to the end. The feeling on completing a run , especially one that was a bit tough is great. Well done you 😊😊

Well done, you're at same stage as me, I'm meant to do that run today but after 12.5 hour niteshift last night I've decided to do it tomorrow instead when I'll feel more motivated, good luck with run 3 I'm sure you'll smash it x

Well done Wenderwoo ...you sre def right, theres as big a mental battle going on sometimes than there is a physical one...but you got through it using a really good strategy, sometimes when I'm running and flagging a bit I think "well I've run this far so there's no point stopping now"...and start preparing my post in my head ready for my return home!! W5r3 is just another run...you have been preparing for it all this time and I just know you are more than capable of it...no over thinking..start slow with short steps close to the ground, its not about speed..you will be fine and we'll all be cheering you on xx

WoW! Well done Wenderwoo, you seem to be taking to this like a duck to water, all the best for Run 3 (which I'm sure you'll breeze through)...

Believe me I don’t find it easy getting this big bod moving, and I fully expect to have to repeat at some point. But until then I’ll keep plodding, and I am not even going to think about R3 😖 🦆👍😁

Dont think, just do. By far the easiest way. We are all here cheering you on, as you are for everyone else.

Great internal conversations. Keep up the good work, you can do it and at one run soon you'll find the love of running and it will all become so much easier🏃‍♀️

Thank you, I am enjoying it very much which has made me a bit gobsmacked to be honest 😊

Yeh, you've caught the running bug, nothing like it. Bad news is you'll start to bore your nearest and dearest with running stats, good news, we never tire of hearing them.

Well done you 💪🏼 smashed it!

W5R3 is the BEST! Your mind knows it's different, so it is prepared. Your legs have done the groundwork, so they are prepared. Your head has been squishing gremlins very successfully for the best part of 5 weeks, so it is prepared.

It is the best - what a great way to end the week. Enjoy 😍

Well done you! Just trust in the programme and you’ll smash it Friday. All your training has prepared you for the next run. Take it nice and slow 🐌and just think of all you have achieved so far. Ps ABBA on the playlist works a treat! 😂😂

Wow, you did it again! Well done! 👍 I envy you a bit, because you have already done what I am still fearing. I am sure you will get through R3 very well, nice and steady as usual. It seems to me that you already have a runner's mind. Enjoy your run! 😃

Thank you.....but I’m still expecting something to go wrong. I don’t mind if I have to repeat runs, and fully expect to. But I don’t want to get injured. I’m forcing myself to have a PMA!

Have fun on Friday, i will think of you while we run and be egging you on

For that run we started really slow so we could keep going and for the first time had a bit left near the end so speeded up a bit and felt exhilarated

Fab Wenderwoo 😍 I agree with Laura and think it is as much the mental challenge and the feeling at the end is so worth it 😘 Cx

Congratulations! We’re one run behind you (my partner has joined me on this journey) so I always look for your post for inspiration before we set out. Best of luck with R3.

Thanks! Today’s the day for the big 20. I’m feeling nervous, but if I don’t make it it will be a practice run 😁
