Sports massage for a tight quad led to a few days rest. This is longest time off I've had since I started C25K and I was concerned about getting back out there. However, once I got my kit on and got outside to be met with a beautiful sunrise my heart lifted and my feet began to plod but I drew the line at 4k today, saving myself for my debut Park Run on Saturday π
Hate to think how I'll be after my two week holiday which is rapidly approaching with no chance of a run..π

Good stuff... as youβre treating parkrun like we do 5k road events, less running going into it is just perfect... enjoy Saturday.
Two weeks off wonβt lose you any fitness either... lots of runners take a holiday... enjoy the break, and when you lace up again after youβll be refreshed and ready to go.
Good luck with your debut Park Run this Saturday, don't worry too much about the time, just go out and run at your own pace, enjoy, that is indeed a lovely sunrise, Gingernutter. How come you will have no chance to run when you are on holiday? most people on C25K can manage some runs during their holidays.
Thank you AlMorr, PR will be an experience I'm sure! Off to India so warmer weather, Delhi probably not the best place to run nor the tiger safaris π π― ππ lots of walking hopefully and just crack on when I get back πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈππ
You can say that again, no way would I try to runπ in Delhi, with all that air pollution, heat and the worst traffic jams in the worldπ, nevertheless I hope that you will have a great time on holiday in IndiaβοΈπ, especially the tiger safariesπ―
Any chance a hotel along the way somewhere will have a treadmill? Lots of walking will certainly help keep you in shape, especially if there are any hills!
Checked the hotels and none state a gym π see how my packing goes might pop the trainers in as some of the hotels have nice grounds so might get to trot round there if they're big enough. Hopefully catch some yoga classes too ποΈ π
