Did the first 3 min run, did the next 5 min run, but just couldn’t do the last 5 min run 😒😒. I felt like I just hadn’t recovered enough over the preceding 2.5mins, I kept up a brisk walk then resumed some short bursts of running at intervals all the way home - not sure now if I can ever sustain a 5k run- should I try and do W4R1 again (can you simply repeat a run you’ve missed by tapping it on the app?) or do I shelve it as a little setback and just carry on , trying W4R2 next??

Repeat it until you can do it. Try slowing down πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

Do I just need to tap into the same run again on the app?

I’m just on week 9 day 2 (47 years old and only been running for the duration of the app). There was no way when I nearly killed myself running for 90 seconds that I thought I could do it but I have. Just keep trying - literally small steps at a time!

Whoah hold on!! That's no fail, you win just by getting out there and doing it, more than millions of other people. You did exactly the right thing by walking and running to the end. Getting the time in your legs is the main thing. Don't worry about 5k, you'll get there even if it takes a bit longer, your first target is 30 minutes running and that will come, just stick to the programme. Take two or three days rest then try w4r2, you can always go back to start w4 or even redo w3 if necessary. Remember to go as slow as possible. And remember you can't feel your best everyday. Keep going, you'll smash it!!

No f words allowed... unless it is fantastic.. and you are for doing this:)

Do the run again after your rest day and take it much slower...no point on moving on if you are struggling a little.

Just relax... put this down as a practice and head out again knowing you will do it:)

Hey you didn’t fail - it was just practice 😊. Some days are like that - often with no rhyme or reason. Just hit the same run on the app and go again. Good luck. Keep us updated 😊😊🏎

Just realised that I can simply tap the same run again on the app and there’s an option to repeat it πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» so I’ll be giving it another try on Monday! My main problem is struggling with incline running - wish there was somewhere near me that’s more level!

Keep going you can do it. Just REPEAT the run again in couple of days doesn't matter how many times you do it . At least your out and about

I'd repeat it. You can just play it again. Take it slower and you'll do it! 😁

You do a run... It defeats you... maybe it’s impossible.

You rest and do some other exercises.

You come back and maybe it defeats you again.

You repeat the work until you win.

That’s how champions are build, that’s not failure.

You can do it... you can take many defeats... but you will not be defeated. You can be beaten up, you can be beaten down... but you will not be beaten.

You can do this. Take it slow and steady and control your breathing. It's yours for the taking.

Listen to your breathing - if you're struggling with the breaths coming hard and fast, slow down. It was only in the last minute of the final run that I pushed it and went hard
