W4R1 - I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to brag, but was dubious when I went out for my first run of week 4 - 2 x 5 min runs and 2 x 3 min runs in hot sunshine, someone is being very silly thinking I can do that. But I DID IT, I only went and did it. Shouted out loud to encourage myself when Laura told me I had 1 min left of the first 5 min, shouted out loud when I finished that bit. People on the tow path must think I'm a complete idiot. So for anyone worrying they won't make it you can - if I can you can.

  • Very well done kp. It's a great feeling isn't it when you complete a tough run! Good luck with the rest of w4

  • You're not bragging - I'd be delighted in your place too. It's such a buzz when you think you can't do it and then surprise yourself. Congratulations and roll on the next run!

  • That's brilliant! Believe me you have bragging rights! It's an amazing feeling after you achieve something that you never thought you could! Happy running xx

  • Congrats, I am due to start week 4 tonight (unless my wife decides to give this a go in which case I will do W1D1 for her to see if I can get her into it too)

You have given me some hope I can complete it as it seems a long way off

  • Well done! I hope the rest of the week has gone just as well for you. I'm just going to start week 4 tomorrow, so it is great to hear when others manage. It makes me stop being so negative about it. Well done again.

  • Well everybody, I did all 3 runs although I found run 3 strange, I had my 9 year old son with me and he did not stop babbling. I think I've worked out that I need to focus and concentrate at the moment and having a 'responsibility' with me was distracting. I did all the runs though so moving to week 5 today - just waiting for the heat to die down a bit before I embark on that one.

Good luck with all your progress.
