Week 3-Run 1

Really not looking forward to running this evening. The thought of stepping up to 3 min runs had been playing on my mind and seriously didn’t want to go out. But my whole ethos with this was not to give up, so glad I didn’t, runs were not as bad as I built them up to be in my head, yes, my legs felt like jelly and lead in equal measures but I got through it, didn’t stop and even ran 20 extra seconds on the last run. You really can do so much more than your mind thinks you can.

Totally get where your at! I’m on week 4 and have 5 min runs to power through - not looking forward to those but determined to do it!

I’ve just looked at Wk4 jen2708.....eek! 5 minute runs, wowzer! My runner friend has told me not to look at what’s coming up in the weeks ahead and just deal with it when it happens. Good advice I think

Brilliant... feared the step up and then did a bit extra on the last one... you CAN do this.

Huge congratulations on conquering your inner gremlins and finishing the run with such a style of additional running time! Yuhuu!! You are doing GREAT! Better then me I struggled last 30 seconds of the last run. So I am really impressed! Go you!

Happy running!

I had exactly the same feelings! Totally agree with you about building it up on your mind. I've managed two of the week 4 runs now, and hoping to get my third in today/tomorrow. It's definitely a case ofindnoher matter. Well done!
