Wow! You were all right, don't know why I was so worried :). I just listened to Laura and took it slow. Was actually easier than I thought it would be. Mind you I did go really slow on the 3 min runs lol. Might try to go a bit faster next time :).

Don't worry about pushing for speed because you're learning to find a pace that allows you to keep running for longer. Speed comes naturally once your fitness increases but the programme uses Your growing fitness to stretch run times - you don't want an injury by going for speed at this time. Well done though, sounds like you are doing very well. Julie 😀

Tremendous. Just take it slow and achieve the times.

Well done Jack. I know, it's clever how the program works and just the right amount of increase in running time is achievable. Keep going and don't worry about speed . As everyone says just manage the minutes as you are building stamina at the moment.

No one really believes it until they experience it first-hand but the programme really does work. I'd keep it slow, would be such a shame if an injury meant you had to take a break. Get to the end and pick up speed then

I just did my first run of week three and I feel great, I live in Maine so I'm starting on the treadmill and hoping to run my first 5k in the spring. I couldn't believe there was only like three stretches of the three minute runs haha. I don't know why I was worried. :) Love this program.

we worry too much don't we ?! glad it was easier than you thought

I'd keep it fairly slow for now - whilst you build up your time

Well done, it's do-able then?!

I was supposed to do my first run of week 3 tonight but it's started pouring down with rain (again! 😡) and I refuse to run in the pouring rain. Spitting I can handle. Had all my gear on ready as well, by the time I'd faffed around downloading a new album from iTunes to listen to the heavens had opened.

Sooo frustrating!

When I left yesterday it was fine. By the time I got to the end of my road (bout 100 Meters). It was pouring down :(. It did ease off a bit but I was a tad wet by the time I'd finished. I don't really mind getting wet, It's having wet feet I don't like. So I end up doing a slalom dodging puddles lol

Try it! You will be surprised. Running in the rain is great - a good heavy downpour the best of all. Release your inner child and splash through all the puddles. It can even make me laugh out loud. You don't know what your missing.

Lots are saying similar. Gonna go out tonight come what may because it's rained here for three months so unless I get a treadmill I fear I have no option! 😄.
