I put week 6 behind me this morning and I'm glad ! These three runs were thoroughly unenjoyable for me. Today was a bad legs day ; I felt when I woke up that the only thing they wanted was to bury themselves deeper in the mattress. I still got up and ran, thinking it would do my stamina some good (it probably did). The first five minutes were really hard, but it's usual for me and I thought it would get better after that. It didn't. I shuffled on. I came to the dreaded mid-course hill (300 m long, incline ranging from 8 to 13%), and this time, I thought it would really get the better of me ! I don't know how I made it to the top. It did get a tiny bit easier after that. All in all, a run worthy of week 6's first two ones.
Cooldown wildlife mission : rescuing (against its will) a juvenile salamander from the middle of a busy road. They're an endangered species here. With last time's toad, that officially makes it amphibians' week.
