Out at 6.45 this morning for my final run of week 6. Did my stretches and warm up at home and then out for the 5 min warm up walk with Mr Smooth. He had every faith in me just like the lovely ladies and gents on here. Of course the first 5 mins was tough as my breathing was a bit erratic as always. Into the second 5 and it was calming down. Was waiting for MJ to say second 5 done and thought the app had turned off when he said I’d completed 12.5 mins! Wow, this was going well. By now I was running on air, I had forgotten about the breathing and it was like I was walking. Obviously, I was only going about as fast as my snail friends. After taking all the advice about taking it slow and steady I was so comfortable and was enjoying the world around me. My mind drifted off and thought about lots of things and the running wasn’t in my mind. At the 20 minute mark I felt so good, I knew I wasn’t going to give up now. The last minute I took the advice of MJ and picked up the pace to finish. What a run. I feel on top of the world. Can’t wait to do it all again 🙋🏻🙌🏻🏃🏻‍♀️ As MJ says, I’m officially a runner. Unbelievable!

Excellent. Well done you. Your on the home stretch now. I actually found that the plan got easier from week 7 onwards. No more walking intervals to break up your stride. Keep going runner.

Thank you for the support. I’m determined to reach the 30 mins, graduate and be able to increase to run 5k. I’m only doing just over 4k at the moment. It’s a great achievement for me as I thought I couldn’t run 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

Hi there... RUNNER!!!

Wow... well done you... and now the runs get longer and so much more fun... even more time to spend relaxing and really, as you are doing looking around.

Letting the new RUNNER'S legs take you... gently and steadily on...breathing evenly, relaxing into the runs and finding what I call, your own happy pace...:)

You are doing wonderfully!!!

PS

Mind.. I do remember a time when Laura said on the podcast..."Finish in style..." I cannot tell you what I answered!!! :)

Thank you. I feel amazing. I didn’t think I would ever come this far. All the hard work to get to those 30 mins now and finish the 9 weeks. I’m feeling determined and enjoying my newfound freedom.

Well done you. You are now officially a RUNNER 🏃🏻‍♀️

Now comes the part that I enjoyed the most, the longer runs mean you can just let yourself get carried away to wherever you want, safe in the knowledge that you can run so therefore will run 😊😊

Thank you. I’m still in shock. Can’t believe how much I’m enjoying it. Hoping Week 7 goes well. I’d love to graduate before Christmas and ask for more running gear as presents. Can’t believe I’m saying this 😂

Whoohooo. SNAP!It took 3days to prepare myself for this one but I feel soo pleased now. So good to read similar stories. I to feel annoyingly slow but was able to do the 60sec sprint at the end.

W7 here we come. Can't quite believe that I have made it this far. On W1R1 I thought I would be stuck at that stage for ever!!

Hi lovely

That's brilliant news. Don't worry about a slower pace, I'm the same, mine ranges between 12 to 15 sometimes. You can only run to your ability. If I started to run faster, which I try sometimes, I start panicking, so I know at the moment that I can't do it. Slow and sure is the way to go it will improve each run, you'll see.

My pace and breathing regulates after about 15 mins into my run, I feel better then. You're doing fab, so don't change it x

Thankyou. I’m just pleased to be running. I didn’t think I could do it. I so wanted to go again this morning but have to have my rest day 😀

Haha, I know what you mean there. I'd do a run and think, ooh I can do this one again tomorrow, then realised it was a rest day. I think I did one after the other for one day during the podcast, but won't again. Those rest days are there for a reason. Keep going lovely x
