I started Week 1 because really needed to lose weight and get healthier.
Can you you believe that I was so embarrass to be jogging at my size that for the first two weeks I wore shirt, tie, trousers and shoes. I used to run at 6.30am around the town. I thought that if anyone saw me jogging it was because I was late for my train or bus.
My week 3 I got over myself. I wore suitable gear and realised that it was the other people that were rushing to get to work and didn’t have time to notice me.
In week 5 I thought I would have to give up. Runs 2 & 3 I would get half way round and I would get a thumping headache. I thought it was my blood pressure going crazy. I didn’t want to give up, so started Week 6, and concentrated on slower deeper breaths to give oxygen to my brain.
After that I never looked back.
And I did it did. I really did it....😄👍🏅🏃🏽♂️
Now consolidation and Parkruns.. I can’t wait. I’ve got the bug.

Thank you all so much for your support throughout my journey so far. Apparently the park at the end of my road does park runs on Sunday mornings. So will definitely check it out 😄👍
Well done, what a great tale to tell as you continue on your running journey. I'm sorry you found it embarrassing at the begining, but I do LOVE your story. I started in cut off jeans and walking boots. I didn't want to buy trainers because I knew I wouldn't stick to it! Now I own trainers, have a basic running kit and have just treated myself to a pair of Capris. It is an amazing journey isn't it!
It certainly is an amazing journey. When I started I thought if I could get to week 2 and keep repeating it I at least would getting exercise. Who would have thought......
Hi staceypek. Well done to you as well. Brilliant to finish before Christmas. Went for my first post C25K run today. Determined to keep those Christmas pounds at bay. 😄
