After running week 8 quite easily thought week 9 would be a breeze only being 2 minutes longer !! I ended up having a 5 day break before attempting week 9 and have tried @ failed this run 3 times my legs feel like dead weights and my body is aching all over ! Am going to repeat weeks 7-8 to see if I can manage them before trying week 9 again as anyone else had this problem?

Oh that’s a shame, Lime. Were you hydrated adequately? And fuelled up? It was fairly humid today, and that’s energy sapping too.

I wouldn’t have thought you’d need to repeat W7 and W8 (although of course you can) - how about W8R3 and see how that goes? You may surprise yourself. 😀

Thank you for the advice Hydration may have been a part of it I will try wk8 run 3 and see how it goes hopefully just a temporary set back this week and can get back into my stride 😊

Don’t give up it’s like what cheekychipmunks said, try taking a bottle of water with you as the weather can be deceptive. So you can hydrate as you go around.

I think your reasoning is one way to look at it, “if you can run for 28 minutes the extra 2 minutes is manageable”. I would try to repeat the run rather than go back to week 7. Also, try not to set out to quickly as you need all the energy to complete the run especially in the sun.

I’m not a pro but you can ask the mentors and admin as they have more experience than I do. But don’t give up, as your nearly there.

Rest... but with some gentle exercise in there too. Hydrate well and then try Week 8 run 3 again..but very slowly and steadily. No rush.

This was not a f***..it was a practice:)

This weather's so changeable, that although we do not usually need to take water on anything less than a 10K, it might be an idea...although good hydration every single day is the thing.. before a run day or on a run day is not useful.

Hi. I’m the same as u lime .. thort the extra 2 mins would be Ok. But last two times I went out repeated w9r2 felt like it took forever .. my legs were like. Concrete sticks.. and I ache all over for couple or more days afterwards have to take 3/4 rest days now I .. think it’s about gettin used to running that amount off time and the heat is draining .. think just keep repeating the first. Two runs of w9..till u find it easier then .. Graduate on a high..
