Hi never wrote on here before but love reading everyone’s posts.I completed my week 9 run 3 on Saturday night along a cold windy prom at Newbiggin by the sea,I’m nowhere near 5k in the 30 minutes think that’s going to take a bit more time.Im not a fit person or rather I wasn’t a fit person but now I can take the dog put the earphones in and pound the streets away.Good luck to you all attempting to do my week 9 again this week and try to keep at it🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Week 9 run 3: Hi never wrote on here before but... - Couch to 5K
Week 9 run 3
Well done. Just keep at it. It will all come
Brilliant, well done, you're a graduate! I think quite a few of us couldn't do 5K in the 30 mins., and still can't after many months - but it doesn't matter, we got off the 'couch' and we ran. So well done you, well done us 🙂. Hope you're feeling appropriately proud of your self, you certainly should be 👏👏👏🎉🎖🌻
You can and you will! I used week 9 runs for a few weeks till I felt able to just go out and run alone, kind of. There's a good follow on app called 5k+, you'll find Laura there too. It's good, helps with the consolidation, but now I just go out and run...ParkRuns are good fun, well worth doing.
I joined a running club too, that's good - pushes me to run a bit faster and a bit further 🙃, yes I'm bonkers!! Totally addicted. Enjoy your running, it will take you places you've never been before, literally.
Wow that's great - hoping to join you by graduating on Saturday! Keep up the great running
Congratulations... good plan to do week 9 some more... consolidate until it’s comfortable, almost easy. Enjoy your celebration
Aw Iwtdttad - you are running for 30 mins 3 times a week. If I’d have told you that 9 weeks ago you would probably have laughed at the thought. Look how far you have come - it’s amazing. The 5k will come in time 😁💪🎓
Congratulations Graduate... go get that badge and well done you!!!
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.

Keep running, keep smiling.
Fantastic! Keep it up, the fact you're not at 5k yet is here nor there. You're already so much fitter and should be so proud off yourself. Well done you and keep going 😊
Hi. I've only just got to 5km on first run of week 12. After week 9 I just added a little bit to my runs. so week 10 was 3 x 32mins and week 11 3 x 35 mins. Then last night, first run of week 12, I thought I would run for 38 mins and then realised Id run 5KM. I think at week 9 I was on 4.3KM but everyone is different. Keep at it you will get there and your body will adjust to what you need and no-one else. Well done on doing the 9 weeks. a lot of people drop out!
Well done! I've got one more run to do in week 9, and am also nowhere near 5k in 30 minutes but I did the local very hilly Parkrun on Saturday in 40 minutes which I was very pleased about! I don't think time matters at all, as long as you just keep running at your own pace.
Massive congratulations 🥇⭐️⭐️⭐️ You’ve made us all very proud x
Congratulations I hate running in the wind!
Having a dog is a good incentive as you have to take it out in all weathers. You'll find you might also enjoy running just for the sake of it. When I finished C25K in July I kept on with the running, Monday , Wednesday and Friday, rain or shine, cold or hot, not wanting to waste all my hard work of the previous 9 weeks. I don't have a dog myself but on my non-running days I walk dogs for two of my neighbours when they're at work. It's great getting out in the fresh air.
Congratulations Iwtdttad for completing and graduating with week 9 run 3 of C25K. To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE next to your username leave a message on the November graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K 🎓 🏃 😊
Well done! Is Newbiggin a fairly flat place to run? I’m doing my final run near Warkworth tomorrow!
The cycle path between Warkworth And Alnmouth- beautiful views!
