W3, R1 - argh & yay!

Started week 3 today, kiddo and I had been slightly apprehensive about the jump from 90 seconds to 3 minutes but I planned a route which I thought would be best to tackle it and we 'smashed' the first 2/3 of the program.

Annoyingly though, my phone died just as we were about to start the final 3 minute run so I've no idea if we managed to run for a full 3 minutes again or if we were short (next time I'll wear my watch in case the same thing happens again ... stupid battery issues! πŸ˜‚).

I reckon (hope!) we probably ran between 2 & 3 minutes as it was starting to get quite tough towards the end; to compensate we blasted our uphill cool down walk (again, guessing if we did 5 minutes) and then merrily carried on strolling home.

Proud and frustrated in equal measure tonight. Looking forward to Monday for run 2 ... with a fully charged phone! πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸƒπŸ‘

One complete upside... my lad was convinced he wouldn't be able to run for 3 minutes (even though he's as fit as a fiddle) but he did it and was SO proud of himself 😍

Yes LolaMac I have just watched a 5000m (5k) track race on TV the winners time was 12 minutes 42.3 seconds I don't think that time will be beaten at any park run tomorrow morning

Great job. Tech gremlins sometimes throw a spanner in the works, but you’ve got a backup for next time. The lad did great too. Enjoy the next one.

Thank you! My own fault for not charging it in anticipation of going out... and then maybe having a sneak peak at FB notifications whilst walking 😁
