W3 R1 complete

W3 R1 complete. It wasn't as bad as what I thought, apart from the doctor calling me midway through run 1 3 minutes. Which threw me off track. I decided to pause and walk while talking then I picked up where I left off. I did feel a little cheated so I decided to run an extra 40 seconds up hill to make up for it after the whole podcast. Would you say that's ok or next run day start R1 again?

I will go onto R2 on Thursday and see how it goes. If needs be then I'll do R1 again at the end of W3 just to make sure I'm definitely there. Thank you

Well Done!

I'm a day behind you I think, I'm doing W3R1 tomorrow.

Well done for doing it, it sounds like a big jump from week 2 again!

Thank you urban.. Yes, I've just run R1 onto R2 Thursday. It's just a little jump really. I thought id never be able to do it but I did.

All the jumps are totally manageable don't worry. And if u have a bad day or a bad run just do it again! U will be fine!

I agree sunflower. It is all doable. It's more psychologically difficult than psychically difficult really.

My next run is W3R1 and I (sort-of) feel ready for it - time will tell!

It sounds like you managed fine despite your interruption. I'd crack on with the other two runs this week and see how you feel after that - you'll probably be breezing through by then.

I'm finding it remarkable how quickly my body adapts to the new things I'm asking it to do!

Good luck!

Atomic, you will do just fine. I jogged very slow but it really does pay too. It's amazing how the program really does work. I never thought I'd recover quickly but surprised with each run how my breathing is recovering quicker and quicker each time. Let me know how you get on with R1. I'll wish you good luck but I doubt you will need it ;-)

I'm also 1 behind you - doing W3R1 on Thursday :) Do you run the same run? I go to a local field and run round it but was thinking should I do a road circuit?

Labshack, it's a bit if a jump from week two but no where near as bad as I thought it would be. I don't do the same route all the time. Fair play running on grass. I've ran a little off track but found it to be a little more challenging. So I stick to roads at the moment until I up my stamina and paste.

Not what you're looking for?
