Didn't get to run Saturday as planned or yesterday as too much π§. (I'm only short and don't want to take the risk of shrinking!) Anyway was still lounging about in bed at 11am (eek) when I read a post on here of a lady who had just done her wk2r1. She said it wasn't as bad as she thought, and at that point I realised I was putting it off because I thought it would be really hard. Basically a lazy so and so by nature.
So I got my sorry ass out of bed, and went for my run. Yay go me!
And surprise, surprise it wasn't that bad after all. I do seem to have a knack of finding places to run that aren't flat π€. I can't run from home as it's a secret and I might have bumped into bff or her OH.
The 2nd 90 seconds started late as there were people coming towards me on the track. Read too embarrassed to start running. π€ͺ The 3rd 90 seconds was cut short part way up a steep incline. Stopped to gulp air & walked the remaining. Luckily the 1/2 time bell rang and I could head back to the car. So good news run 4 and 5 where down hill whoop whoop that made it sooo much easier.
Now looking forward to my run on Wednesday. So a big thank you to all who post on here. You never know when you may inspire someone to get out the front door. πππ

I'm going to give myself at least one completely flat run each week just to bolster the ego
I will try to remember your wise words about this being good for me when my lungs are trying to leave my body. π€£π€£ You never know I may learn to love hills by the end of this.....
Either it makes you shrink or you absorb it by osmosis and become a potato. Either way, best avoided if possible. And plays havoc with my furry slippers.
You only absorb by osmosis it if there's more free water in the rain than inside you. Now I know we're past the acid rain days of the 80s but I'm still not sure what's dissolved in the rain round here! *wanders off mumbling about air pollution*
Pretty sure it's just genetics for me! My mum gets worried if I go out in the rain (I mean ... this is Britain, when would I get stuff done!!) but somehow I don't think it's because I'll get shorter...!
Brilliant! You got up and ran, and you earned the right to feel smug! Youβll find it all gets easier with time. Just slow right down if you find yourself struggling. Youβve got this! ππππ»ππ»πͺπ»πͺπ»
I did my W2R1 this morning too. Was surprised that I had the stamina to do it. This really works!!!
Well done. I did W2R2 today. I also start uphill...π ... but as you say, makes the 2nd half much easier. I always feel better afterwards... and must keep reminding myself of that. MJ keeps me going... such a low, velvety voiceπ
