Very slow this am and struggled massively at the end not a gremlin in sight I just couldn’t get my legs to keep going - I must admit I was amazed how short the distance was - I thought it was 3 ish k hey ho we love and learn but this post is NOT a whinge - hopefully it’s an encouragement to those on the way that running stays something you have to work at!! I have thoroughly enjoyed my run this am despite walking the last bit and it being shorter than I thought!!! I suspect my first 5 k on Sat took more out of me than I thought !!!

You'll get there. Persevere. It doesn't matter how long you do, that will build up before you know it. Keep at it and I'll see you at Townley on the 8th

I’m not dissimilar, Mandi. I am having no trouble with gremlins or breathing, but my runs have plateaued. I just came back from a lovely relaxed (too relaxed maybe! 😎) run, and I purposefully disabled the time on MapMyRun so I was only aware how far I was going. My goal today was 4K, which I did no problem at all. But I’m getting no faster! It took me 33.54 minutes but it felt ‘effortless’. I’m not complaining, I was just surprised it wasn’t quicker! Oh well, my 🐌 friend will stick with me a bit longer!
I’m going to do 5k on Thursday. Can’t imagine how long that will take! 😅😅😅

Woo hoo, you got up did a run and enjoyed it. I find it hard without Jo egging me on every five minutes. I think I may play the app just for company for awhile.
