I think it was tough but if you go slow and remember to breathe you would be fine. Enjoy the runs, believe you can do it and you will. Enjoy week 2.

Thank you. I keep repeating ‘Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right’. Just seems a big jump

Ditto. Very overweight but have completed week 1 today. I took the advice of others who said run slow, slow down then run slower (or something like that). I even wore Lycra. My first run was harder I think because of jogging bottoms and lack of fitness. Lycra and positive mental attitude are my secret weapons. X

Love the advice I run so slow but I guess I can build up speed x

That’s what I think Natalie. We’re running!! Who cares what speed we’re running at? I don’t. Keep up the good work. If I can work out how to follow you I will and we can share our week 2 experience!! Xx

Same - I'm going to repeat week one at least once, and possibly twice depending on how I feel!

Hi Natalie

I am very overweight - darent worknoyt my bmi but it's around 30/31. I can’t lie - I have found most of the runs challenging. I am on W6 now. What I have noticed is that my aerobic fitness and heart rate are improving- my heart rate recovers more quickly and the runs are do able. But yes it’s difficult. However the elation at the end of the run is unbeatable! Go for it! It’s worth it 🏃‍♀️

Just finished my Week 1 Run 2 today also. It was easier than the 1st but am also wondering how I will deal with next week. I never ran properly and had surgery two years ago that led to nerve damage in my leg. I started out teaching my leg and foot muscles to walk again so managing to run is a brilliant feeling, even if I feel shattered towards the end.

Hi Natalie ..... well done you ...stick at it you will do it! I’ve found I needed to repeat a couple of weeks as knew I wasn’t ready to move on and that helps. I also keep a little note book and write in each time I run. I’ve got a running machine in garage that I’m using at the moment but will venture outside when I’ve got a bit more confident. I’m repeating week 3....if I can get this far any one can! Keep your head in the zone..... you can and will do it, just keep at it and don’t be worried to take it at your own pace! Let me know how the next run goes xx

Hi Natalie - well done for getting going! I'm also overweight and haven't run since schooldays so I'm taking things slowly. I think it's fine to repeat weeks until you feel ready to move on :-)
