Went for my second run this moring at 8 am and it was already really warm. Lots and lots of people walking dogs so i decided to run on the grass instead of the paths and found this to be a lot better. Ithink that i will need to go out earlier though before it gets too warm.
One thing that i have noted even at this early stage is to make the most of the rest days and to not push too hard.I decided to do 45 mins in the gym yesterday and brisk walk the 25 mins each way there and back, not a good idea! I felt my shins burning even just after running the 8 mins in total for week one, so tomorrow i will try and get out of the house for some exercise but not hammer it too hard!

Good to hear that i dont just have to sit around twiddling my thumbs on a rest day! i'm going to see the olympic torch today and then will walk to the pool. Thank you, and best of luck
After resting a bit more yesterday and will only be going for an hour walk today will hopefully give my leg muscles a bit of a rest. what stage are you at now? best of luck!
Hope you have the energy to do your 3rd run tomorrow. My plan is to be out of the house by 6:45-7 am and avoid the heat. i feel that if i get up that early i have bundles more energy for the rest of the day. I hope you stay on track and look forward to hearing your progress.
To: tantrumbean, not sure how you had to motivaion to go out that early/late?! must of been nice and cool though and the streets must have been empty. Might have to try that myself soon! best of luck for week 2.
Wouldn't exactly call it motivation, but I knew I had to do it to keep on track... And I am a night-owl, so that is probably the best time for me. The temperature was perfect, nice cool breeze and empty streets - only shame was that I had to stick to the streets as I just wouldn't have felt safe at that time on my normal routes. I think you are far more impressive getting out at 7 in the morning to be honest!!!
I managed to get out of the house for 7:20 this morning, so not as early as i'd hoped. nice and cool though and a lot more runners about than i'd seen before. best of luck for this evening hope to hear from you soon!
