I’m currently enjoying a cool down walk after my last run of the week, I’m a sweaty breathless mess but I also feel great and it’s a lot more encouraging after my difficult last run.
I’m still working on getting preparation before and pacing during a run right but whatever I did today seemed to work. I kept a sensible pace throughout but when the last minute rolled around I found it in me to speed up and run it.
So I think I’m ready for week 2... maybe. I’ll definitely give it a try but if I struggle again I might repeat week 1. As much as I want to get to the end of this, I’m perfectly happy to take my time and extend it. But hopefully it won’t come to that...

Nice one P_M, week 1 is properly tough. I'd suggest you move on to week 2 - none of them are easy but each one prepares you for the next, so give it a go. Good luck!
Well done!!! The hardest part I think is the first run..after that you kind of get addicted. Difficult runs then miraculously become longer but more manageable. But...if you have a hiccup and need to gather your thoughts to boost your confidence then do that last run until you're ready. Though to be honest I've never felt ready but always able to do!! You are a star!!! 🌟
Well done, week 1 sorted you can do week 2. Check through the posts and see how many of us are unsure about moving on. The programme is designed to develop your strength and stamina so go for it, smash it and tell us about it.
Well done Preserved_Moose! I bet you are ready for W2. The programme is designed to put you out of your comfort zone at the beginning of each new week, but believe me - you’ll look back after moving on to the next week each time, and wonder what all the fuss was about! The only reason to repeat a week (or a run) is if you don’t complete it. Of course you can if you like, but you certainly don’t need to. Trust the programme, it’s very clever! 😀👍🏻
So don’t fret about W2. Take it super slow, as slow as you need. W1 will have prepared your body for it. Honest! 😀😀👏👏
