Just finished my last run from week 1! So very proud of myself for actually doing it & not making excuses for why I can’t do it. How does everyone keep themselves motivated?

you've done the first week. Great stuff.
If u dont feel motivated sometimes then just remember why you are doing it.
Happy running and good luck with the rest of the program
Thank you. This morning was quite hard getting motivated, either an extra half an sleeping or go for a run 🤷🏻♀️ I went for the run & have felt great all day so I guess it’s holding on to the feeling of after the run for when I’m not feeling very motivated
With me I think it’s determination and sheer bloody mindedness that keeps me going. I also have a couple of friends who have been running for years and can see my runs on Strava. They cheer me on and push me to keep going.
If you’re not feeling motivated one day to go and run, remind yourself how good you’ve felt after previous runs, then go run! Congratulations by the way for completing the hardest runs of all - the first ones.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

Enjoy your journey.
Well done for getting started 😊
I have set myself c25k as a challenge, so that keeps me motivated, also the feeling each time I complete a run 🏃.
And if you post here, the added pressure of fellow runners waiting for you to post about the next run 🏃 😂 they're a good audience though 😋
Good luck with week 2 👍
Thank you. Thanks for the tip. I really want to do the local park run with my eldest son & husband but I think I’ll wait for a while to see how I get on with the program before I set a deadline for my 1st park run
Park run is on my list of things to aim for - eventually ☺ but I think I will be doing it on my own 🏃 👍
Yes that’s how I feel. I’m sure no one judges or would say anything if I walked a part of the run but I would know
It's all about doing what's right for you - I think lots of people do walk at least some of it, but if you want to give running the whole thing a shot, later in the programme sounds like the way to go 😊
Keep posting after your runs - the encouragement really helps 😊 🏃
