Just done my 3rd run and it was great!! I struggled on the first two to do the full 60 seconds and was doing more like 45 seconds running and 105 walking. This time I followed some advice I was given to slow right down and focus on my breathing and it really worked. I was counting paces and inhaling for 2, exhaling for 3 and it felt a lot easier. I skipped the 4th run and walked through it instead because my breathing had got out of whack and I had to use my inhaler but I managed the full 60 seconds for all the other runs. I did a little happy dance when I finished!! I had already decided that I would keep repeating week 1 until it felt OK and expected to repeat it maybe 4 or 5 times but after this morning I feel like 1 repeat will be ok. I've also discovered that an early morning pre work run works far better for me than doing it at the end of the day. It was lovely running around the lake while the sun came up :-)

Well done! At the end of week 1 I was certain I needed to repeat it as had struggled- however, found that I could do week 2- give it a try, you might surprise yourself!

I'm trying really hard to not overdo it. I have fibromyalgia so need to be really careful not to trigger a flare up.

If you keep the speed down your breathing shouldn’t get out of whack

It’s all about finishing. Go slowly and hopefully all will be well

Just listen to your body and go as slowly as you feel you need to - it’s not a race or a competition 😊

Well done on week 1 though. In many ways the most difficult part of the programme is actually revving yourself up to start it👏👏

Good luck with week 2 when you start it 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
