Just getting ready to run for 25 minutes, possibly for the 1st time in my life (57 years). It's raining lightly so hoping it'll clear for half an hour in about 10 mins!

Go for it, you can do it!

Running in light rain or drizzle can be nice, cooling and kinda cathartic.

Good luck Ibex!

I did my W6R3 at 5:45 this morning, you’ll nail it!

Well done!

I did it! In light rain (so no glasses and therefore a myopic haze). I would never have done this without this programme. Wore a fleece - thought a waterproof would be too sweaty. Any advice as to where I might buy some running shoes? Don't want to pay any more than absolutely necessary - just want ones that are fit for purpose.

I got my first pair from sportsdirect. Karrimor Tempo. Fab right out the box. Do try them on and you’re looking for at least a half size bigger as your feet swell 👍. They do a road and a trail version Check out Aldi as they had some running gear on sale this week The Lidl ones looked fab but I bet they have all gone now but do have a look if there’s a branch handy

You will manage that 25 minutes run without any problems Ibex, As you have already ran for 20 minutes for the W5R3, 5 minutes longer isn't too bad, if it's raining and you like me don't like running in the rain, well just wait and hopefully it will go off soon. When I ran for 20 minutes for the third run of week 5, it was also the longest I had ever run in my life, the longest run previously was a 10 minute run about 20 years ago when I was in a hurry to get home for some program on the television which I did not want to miss.

The things that get us running 😀 Do you remember which TV programme it was?

If I remember correctly I ran home to see some sports program, a long time ago to remember the exact name of it. I was caught in heavy rain and my shoes started to leak so much that to keep the circulation going in my feet I just ran home and changed them immediately. That run was 10 minutes, run 3 of week 5 of C25K is 20 minutes, hence that is the longest run that I have ever ran.

PS notice run and ran being a little different, I am on a spell checker from Grammarly which is an American Spellchecker, it keeps underlining in red spelling mistakes which I, of course, correct but I think it gets mixed up regarding the words run and ran, "to run" is present tense and "I ran" is past tense.
