W8R1 getting my rhythm sorted

I realised today that I don't get into my running rhythm until 15-20 mins and when Jo whiley came in over my podcast today with only 5 mins left I thought oh!! I'm just getting comfortable now!!!

Any tips as to how I can get into my rhythm more quicker peeps? Or does everyone have their own rhythm and maybe I shouldnt worry about it? When I say getting comfortable with the run I mean not thinking about the running and just letting my mind wander. I am listening to either podcast or music . With my warm up and cool down added on to my run my app says I did 4.5k today Am a slow runner 🐌

I only manage 3.3k......so compared to me you're a Speedy Roadrunner!!!

I encounter Toxic 10 every time I run.....my legs start cooperating 11 mins into my run. I find a comfortable rhythm more closer to 18-20mins.

There are much more seasoned runners here, who can give you advice.

But I wouldn't worry too much about it because you're almost there!!!!

Thanks hotheels- maybe the app is wrong on my distance as there is no way I'm a speedy runner πŸŒπŸ˜‚

The distance was with my warm and warm down- so not all running!!!

Might need to actually download an app now to see distance as only using my phone's 'health' app

Strava and MapmyRun are the popular apps that folks here use.

I also use my hubby's old Fitbit to track stats.
