So I decided to try an experiment to see how long I could run before I got too tired (without pushing myself past my limit and risking injury). I am currently on week 4 of the programme. So I set off at a dead slow pace and somehow I got into my own rhythm and managed to carry on quite happily for 25 mins!!! I only stopped because the area that I was about to enter had all it's street lights turned off and it was as black as the grave. Without stopping for walk breaks I seemed to settle in to the running if that makes sense.
My question is, do I carry on with the programme or skip forward a few weeks, or even just continue to 'run free' as it were? I have completed two runs of 25 mins without any problems during or after.

As Jacs says, stick to the programme and let it strengthen and build those muscles so you stay injury free. You may be able to run for 25 mins but you're asking a lot of you body and haven't built the running legs to support it yet.
Follow the programme... the way to the podium, having had fun and stayed injury free, is but taking each run one after the other... our running legs and our stamina and strength take a while to build too!
