Post from Oldfloss about graduation badge for people completing W9 in June. Looking forward to getting my badge soon ๐
The run itself went well. The first 5 mins were tough as usual, got into the rhythm after that. I was thinking about next 15 mins and about pacing it well. Later on I was smiling thinking that I was planning about 15 mins and this same guy was terrorised about running for 1.5 mins few weeks back.
My overall pace was a bit slower than usual but Iโm not worrying about the pace just now. Iโve read that there are programs to work on speed and distance once we are able to run for 30 mins.
On to W8R2 on Monday.
Everyone else on W8, well done to reach this far and all the best for remaining runs!

It's great how far we've come isn't it?! I have stopped saying I am going for a "run" and now just go for a run ๐. Good luck with the next 2 weeks. Will see you at the finish! ๐
Thanks for the post and well done. I'm starting W8 on Monday morning bright and early - like you I can't quite believe that it was only 7 weeks ago that I was huffing and puffing after 1.5min runs, this programme is amazing. Gave myself a reality check yesterday though and put on RunKeeper to find I am running 1K in 9.5 mins - that seems very slow but as you say there's plenty of time to build up pace once we all graduate in June. Best of luck to everyone in week 8.
Congratulations das_vikas! I know that feeling about running for 1.5 mins. Iโm doing W3R1 today and feeling a little nervy about it as I feel a little bit stiff and a little bit tired. So hearing about other peopleโs runs a lot far ahead does help. Well done you and thanks for sharing! Iโm going to get up, have plenty of water and get going! It looks like the weatherโs going to be quite hot today! โค๏ธ
Well done! Week 8 looms for me, starting tomorrow. Week 7 wasn't easy but I did it. Feels so good after huffing and puffing my way through those early weeks! I am a steady plodder as I pound the streets and it took a while to crack a more calm style of breathing, but it's all coming together nicely. Let's keep plodding on ๐
