Set off on a damp bleak morning to start W8. Took about 10mins to get into my stride but once there, had a comfortable 28min run listening to music for the first time πΆ....always been a bit dubious about running with earplugs in, a bit wary about not hearing traffic and cyclists. However, it pleasantly passed the time with the odd interruption from MJ π
My ave pace improved from Saturday, not intentionally I might add, from 12.23 to 11.55min/ml so getting stronger.
This programme is amazing and so are you people here on the forum, I couldnβt have got this far without the encouragement you have all given me over the weeks π€
Happy running all ππββοΈππββοΈ

Starting my wk 8 after work tonight,so will be bleak, damp and dark tonight, but soooo enjoying C25K now!!! Look forward to Jo Whileys encouragement and advice. Don't want it too end!! Well done TEDG!!!
Well done on a great start to wk8, Ted. It certainly wasn't the most inviting weather for heading out today; bleak and damp here too. I've just done wk7r2 and didn't fancy it much to be honest, but once out in the elements it was OK.
I like to run with music, but then I'm lucky to run on footpaths well away from traffic and other people most of the time. I agree you need to be very aware though. I set my iTunes to shuffle and see what turns up - doesn't have to be be a banging beat; had some Eagles and Simon & Garfunkel today (as well as Prince, Free, Chris Rea and the Dixie Chicks). I don't get much opportunity to listen to music nowadays, so running is my new 'me time' now. What do you listen to?
Well done!! π Week 8 for me tomorrow too! Might go out very early in morning! Donβt think I could do it without my music! Mentally preparing myself already!! π
Oh, yes. I agree. I loved the Norton Commando, all black and chrome, the early Laverdas, the Triumphs and the Kawasakis. There is a beauty about the early bikes that modern ones lack. A friend who lives in India now collects old bikes which he finds there and renovates them. Have fun
