I’m a newbie here and to running and I never thought I could run anywhere! I’m asthmatic and overweight! Recently lost over 3 stone with slimming world and decided to use the c25k app to help shift some more weight and shape up my legs! I’m shattered but really enjoying the challenge!

That looks like a nice run by the seaside - good luck with it - you'll be surprised how quickly you get stronger. Happy running!

Thanks for the encouragement and yes lovely and lucky to live by the sea. I also get to swim in the sea three to four times a week!

Well done you, I have a friend who is a chronic asthmatic, so bad she could hardly get up the stairs she was so breathless and she did the Couch25K twelve months ago. It has made a new woman of her and today she completed her second 10K. I hope it helps you too, 😉

Congrats. I am 58, asthmatic and had high blood pressure. I started by losing 30lbs or so and since adding C25K my asthma symptoms have reduced and my blood pressure has normalized- so I can reduce the blood pressure tablets. Best part is I feel ten years younger and more energized. Dont give up-you won’t notice the gradual increase in fitness right away, but soon you’ll look back and be amazed with your own progress. Go for it!

Hi, I'm asthmatic, overweight and just joined SW! Started running (I say that tongue in cheek, I shift the weight from foot to foot!) last week., Week 1 complete but hard to breath in dampness yesterday. Keep going.
