Well ran 25 min yesterday morning - last night left hip hurting like a bugg**
Had to get up to take painkillers as couldn’t lie on either side or back and be comfy 😩 will try tomorrow with another run as don’t want to give up - so feeling a bit fed up as was doing so well 😐
Had hip pain prior to starting C25k but it’s not been worse - till last night
Stretches don’t seem to help as like I say it’s only when I lay down I get the pain 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Any advise gratefully received thank you for reading

Maybe you have an underlying condition that just decided to flare up? Not hurting during the run would suggest that it wasn’t the running that made it worse last night, especially if you’ve got to 25 minute runs. I’d be taking a trip to the GPs to get a medical opinion on it. If you can get an appointment in the next six months that is, headlines yesterday shocked me.
I think your right with underlying as it could be a problem before but I want it to be BETTER - lol I will persevere a bit longer before I go to gp and hope it a fluke or gets stronger - I live in France so would rather wait till I absolutely have to go down doctor route 😐
Want to pinpoint if it worse the night after run so Brufen and paracetamol at the ready 🤦♀️🤦♀️
I've had a similar thing kick in over the last few weeks; hips, knees, IT Band, all points in between. It's truly nasty. I'd say find a Sports Physio if you can to get a proper diagnosis. And do that soon.
Otherwise take it a lot more gently and leave another day between runs. If it starts to hurt when you're out running or when you're cooling down then STOP and get it looked at.
There are a bunch of strengthening exercises you could do around hips and glutes (aka bum) but best to see a specialist first.
