I'll admit that I was rather apprehensive about W3R1.....self-doubt crept in over the weekend. Why on earth did i even think I could run in my 40s when I've never run my entire life?????!!!
But - I kept busy the whole day with regular stuff and tried not to think about it. Got all my chores done, sorted out the kids and got ready for the week.....8pm came along in no time. #crunchtime!
Slipped on my runners and off I went.....and lo and behold!!! I didn't end up gasping for breath, my shin splits were manageable and the 3 min lap was not that bad at all!!!! And to top it all, the entire W3R1 was rather short.....felt cheated in a way....!!!! I checked the app again just to make sure that it was working and I hadnt suddenly missed out on running another 5 mins somewhere in the mix. But no.....Week 3 runs are the shortest of the C25K programme......who would've expected that, eh???!!
Irrespective, I feel glad that I conquered my demons and didn't give up.....W3R2 - watch out, I'll be out to get you!!!! π
I think I'm on the right track.....!!! π

Yeah I remember doing my first week 3 run and it felt really quick! I think itβs because youβre suddenly cutting down to four intervals. You feel like youβre just getting started with two runs down and it turns out youβve only got two to go!
Ive just completed W3 today and like you to start I was really apprehensive about it, turns out I feel like itβs been my best week so far! Keep up the good work π
I too have just done W3R1 and I thought that I would never be able to keep running for 3 mins, previously it was 90 seconds. But I did and the run did go so much quicker. I felt chuffed afterwards and canβt wait for the next run.
Go Hotheels! You certainly are on the right track! Itβs great when you realise you could have gone on longer. I love when the gremlins get slayed! You did that or sure! Good for you! Well done! β€οΈ
