Well at 69 years old I have done my first parkrun and it was amazing, I am a plodder and it took me 41.25. It was the hardest thing I have ever done but I kept going and I am feeling so proud of myself, my son who is an accomplished runner ran with me, encouraging me every step of the way. Best experience ever, look forward to doing another one soon.

Fantastic! I am very impressed 😄. - I am 10 years younger than you and haven’t made it to a Parkrun yet! Much hat doffing!! 😂

Wish I had done one ages ago even if it meant walking some of it, the atmosphere and support is amazing. Look forward to reading you have done one soon x

Well done you. I'm 46 and doing my first park run tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. As long as I don't come last I don't care . Xx

Trust me you will absolutely love it and as long as you keep running you will not come last. I felt quite excited when I overtook two ladies, they were walking though 😂. Let us know how it goes.

Great work, well done! 👍Parkrun is brilliant and I’m hooked on it now. I’m in my mid fifties and never thought I could get as far as I have. 😊

You have every right to feel proud and it’s totally justified!

Good luck with your next run - just enjoy yourself 😀

Well done! I have friends who are very much part of the parkrun family- they never miss a week and visit all over Europe for a bit of parkrun ‘tourism’! You’ll soon be hooked!!

I hit the 70 this year, did the Parkrun a week ago - was tough. Yes C25K is brilliant, age doesn't really matter, does it? Though I do feel a tad proud of myself, so glad you do too. High 5 to all us no longer Spring chickens we are fantastic 😎🌞

So happy for you I’m still buzzing it’s the best thing ever. Was out before 6am this morning and finished up doing another 5K. I have definitely got the running bug wish I’d done it years ago.
