I finished week 7 on a real high last Wednesday feeling really strong and confident about adding on 3 minutes

Had a slightly longer gap than intended before wk8rn1 but I just couldn’t push past 25 minutes. I was struggling at 5 minutes! I slowed it right down but my thighs were so tight and painful

Clinging to the fact I haven’t gone backwards from week 7 but confused why my legs struggled so much-it was only 6 days?!

We all have them Sssara. Have you been stretching after your runs? Are you really well hydrated all the time? They can have a bearing but it often just comes down to an experience to chalk up.

I do the stretches recommended on the nhs website although I never feel I’m stretching my right thigh enough

Perhaps could have been more hydrated...will just have to try again Thursday

I think we should ban the "F" word on here (fail). You only fail by never trying in the first place. Look how far you have come - bet you never imagined that in W1. I did that run today & at one point my legs felt like they were full of lead. Draw a line under it and go out again after a rest. You'll absolutely smash it next time I bet. You can do this. You got this. Good luck & keep us posted.

Thanks welshwitch! Just so much harder than the same run last week! Will give it another go Thursday. Well done for getting through it!

I didn't tell you off 😀 For using the banned "f"word on this site 😄 But only because you seemed to be feeling bad enough already! Be aware that word is not allowed here or the two sister forums since you only don't succeed when you stay on the couch - everything else is good even 'practice' runs 👍
