After feeling quite pleased with myself for nailing run one of week 7 on Sunday, tonight's run was an epic fail.
I had to stop after ten minutes, I walked for a couple of minutes and then managed to do another ten minutes of running and the same happened had to stop at around the ten minute mark.
I did manage a third ten minute stint but I'm gutted that I wasn't able to run for a full twenty five mins.
What's happened? Anyone else had a similar experience?

Not an epic fail, we don't 'eff' on here...well we do but a different type. So one thing I can remember thinking with benefit of tons of hindsight was that I would have benefitted from an extra days rest as I got through the latter weeks...
Also sometimes a really good run, preceded a really rubbish one. And also as I got more stamina I started each run just that bit quicker and that was a really bad thing because like the Duracell bunny ad I ran out of steam earlier.
It happened to me in Week 6 Run 1 it was crap, crap, crappety crap. We all seem to get one , so give yourself a hug, take an extra days rest and have another go. You know what to expect now, you've practiced this run and practice makes perfect...
Thanks for the great advice. I pondered a bit last night everything you said made sense.
I'd had a mad long day at work and was tired, definitely should have given myself another day. What you said about setting off too fast rang a bell too.
I was a bit grumpy as it was the first run I hadn't completed. I'll be out again on Friday and hopefully last nights "blip" will be forgotten.
Ok you actually ran for 30 mins so I don't think that's a fail... it's a practice that went over what you wanted to do so... in theory your next run will be 25 mins by taking it slow and steady.. You can and will do this just remember take your time and try to enjoy 😙
I gave myself a bit of a shake last night, when I started the program I hadn't run since I was a teenager and running for ten minutes seemed impossible so it's not all bad.
I'm going to give it another go on Friday, fingers crossed it'll go a little better.
Ooh you bad girl, you used the 'f' word! You'll have Irish-John on your case now😂 Give yourself a pat on the back because you ran 3 x 10 minutes and that's epic. 😊😊😊
Phew...as Mcfitty says Tracey you actually ran for 30 mins in total...so a good workout...this will be banked in your legs and will help you next time out.
As JCR suggests take extra rest days now the runs are getting longer. Be kind to yourself and remember to always start your run nice and slow and relax into it.
You could count this as W7 R2 if next run you nail the 25 mins...its up to you😆...
