Missed running for the 2.5 months. I’ve been on the injury couch after hurting my back during the heavy snow fall. The beast from the east. I was digging snow and ice off the driveway and road and next day could not hardly get out of the bed. My lower back muscles were in a spasm. I was contorted and my back was pulled to the right. It was awful. Anyway 6 sessions later with a great physio I am sorted and got the green light to run again. Turns out I had a dislocated left hip following a fall from a motorcycle a few years ago and I never knew. At the time I had cracked a few ribs and broken a collar bone.
So I’m back. Did a few light slow runs last week and attempted a Parkrun with my 9 year old Son. He pulled me around the course. I had to walk up a couple of hills but ran the majority of it. Felt great and loved it. My legs are still a little sore after it, so I’ve walked the last two days. I run again tomorrow.
Missed this place too.

Yey welcome back damienair ..we’ve missed you...it’s not the same when one of the fold are missing!!! Here you are, back at it & I just know you will enjoy easing yourself back into it...nice & slowly 😉
Thanks everyone. I should have popped in whilst I was on the IC but just found it too hard to. I had worked really hard to build up a pretty good fitness level in January.
It’s great to be back. Thanks for the warm welcomes. I missed you all. Now that I’m back it’s great to get the motivation to keep going by joining into the Forum. I’m looking forward to running 5K without walking some day soon.
It's great to see you back in business Damien. Wow, it's amazing you were able to run with a dislocated hip. Here's to a smooth path back to full form.
