So day 1 week 1 done, one minute runs I can cope with. God help me when I have to run for longer. Any suggestions for tight calf muscles?

Stretch really well after your run. Lots of calf stretches available; someone im sure will message you a link. (I can't atm.)

That should sort you out. Buying new ones is sadly not currently an option 😁

Well done on starting the journey too btw!!

Well done you, it took me 6 months to get started after my wife decided to give it a go. I was told by Michael Johnson today that he'd call me a runner now! Week 6 done ✅

You will be fine just plod along slowly 🐌 that’s all I’ve ever done and I’ve just made it to graduation! I think I had more aches the first and second week than the rest of the weeks put together!

In the first couple of weeks you'll get lots of false positives from your body. Usually just muscles, joints and ligaments waking up like Sleeping Beauty. Don't fret a bit of soreness. But if you get pain then get advice quickly. You'll get an instinct for your running body really fast. And yes you're a runner!! 😀

Well done for starting what will be a life changing program. Yes, at the beginning you think 1 minute is a long run, but you are now on an incredible journey . I didn’t discover this forum until week 7 , but it is a great source of advice, banter and virtual hugs. You aren’t related to Oldfloss are you?
