Week 5 run 3

Hello,

Need a bit of motivation! My sister and I are doing week 5 run 3 tonight and are a bit anxious in trying to run for 20 mins. It’s such a big jump from the previous weeks. Can it be done?

Yes!!!! I will be doing mine on Saturday. Scared admittedly but look how far you have come. You might surprise yourselves. Enjoy it. Nobody will hunt you down if you cant do it, just try again. I have had to repeat some runs and I am worrying about tonight's r2 as my calves are very sore after r1 but I will try. Good luck x

Lol 20 minutes sounds terrifying I know. But it is definitely possible. I managed it by doing the first 10 minutes in a bit of a gentle pace (in my head I'm doing a warm up) and then imagined the last 10 minutes as the one run I need to nail in my normal pace. Dont be nervous, go for it and keep us updated!

Yes it can!! It’s bizarre but it actually is achievable.. trust the programme. Slow and steady and don’t overthink it. Good luck 😉

Yes, plenty on here will confirm that it can be done🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Are you and your sister running together? If so I would suggest that you each keep to your own pace, it doesn't matter if you finish at different times, it's not a race.

Enjoy yourselves, take your time. 😀

You will do it! I run with my sister and we keep each other running. One of us usually feels better than the other so it's their job to encourage. Good luck!!

Did it myself this morning - hard for the first 10 minutes, but once over that it was terrific. Good luck and enjoy!

Thank you all for your positive comments. We did it, so proud of ourselves. Like Darude said the first 10 minutes is hard but after that we just kept going. You are all awesome. X

Well done to you both. It's an amazing feeling right? Keep it up! I don't know about you, but week 6 run 1 looks easy compared, but don't get caught out, take that one nice and easy too and you will get there in no time. :-)
