Not even sure I could call that running, as Iโm sure I can walk faster; but super proud that I managed to complete this one!
I have had butterflies over completing this run - seemed such a big jump going from running 8 mins to 20 mins. The mental power it took to keep going is insane!
So chuffed itโs unreal.
On reflection so far, I have surprised myself, genuinely wasnโt sure I was going to actually stick with this programme as Iโm a bit of a giver upper. Over half way and still loving the challenge and sense of achievement.
On another note... after using my new trainers for weeks no problems, they are suddenly too small... fitted great when I bought them, now my toes are touching the ends ๐ do feet grow at 29 lol, or do trainers shrink!?

Well done thatโs a real milestone run that we all remember doing ๐ It prepares you for the next bit and when you get there the longer runs will be just as doable. Slow is good, just keep moving and you will be great and improve over time.
Haha thanks! still need pinching! Canโt believe I just โranโ for 20 mins!
Yes I figure being super slow is better than trying to run a decent pace and not be able to complete it, I guess over time and once completing C25K, I can then work on building a better pace!
Youโre right, speed and pace are not as important as stamina and thatโs what you are building right now. Iโve been consolidating for 2 weeks and my 30 minute runs are getting a little bit easier every time. I honestly thought I would never be able to run for 30 minutes but I can and do and that feels just amazing every single time. Itโs an amazing program ๐
Thatโs good to know ๐ Thereโs one thing I love about this page, is that you can see and speak with people at all different stages of the program and see the progress.
It is hard to believe, when at the beginning of the programme, 60seconds seemed so tough! Itโs amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. ๐ช๐ผ
Being able to run slower than your fastest walking speed is a great asset to have if you were correct. Either way... great job.. 20 minutes of just running.. just over half way through the plan, but 2/3 of the way to 30 minutes... very well done.
Not sure about feet growing at 29, it's more likely that your trainers shrank, I would suggest that you go for a gait analysis before your next run, after the gait analysis you will be advised by a expert to buy proper running shoes which are usually a size larger than your normal shoes or trainers.
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6, perhaps with your new running shoes, but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran ๐๐พ ๐
I did have a gait analysis etc, and size bigger, so feel rather disappointed! Dunno what happened, only had them a few weeks and worn a handful of times! They did fit fine to start with!
Thank you! Iโm looking forwards to the intervals after todayโs run
Well done! W5R3 is a benchmark, and you should be super proud of yourself. A word of warning though, W6R1 can catch some people out so make sure you take it slowly ๐๐
Re shoes, Iโm pretty sure feet donโt grow once your an adult.....check the brand or stores return policy - Brooks for example offer a 90 day return and refund even if youโve worn them.
Let's hope so, I'm looking forward to it ๐I took 2 rest days at the weekend because I can't run on Thursday and weirdly an extra rest day mid week didn't feel right. It was also murky and horrible here on Sunday so I think it was the right choice.
