Hi everyone,

This is my first post, though I joined a couple of weeks ago and actually started in January (I've had various hiccups along the way). I was starting to feel like I was sneaking about, stealing all this helpful advice and support that you were all sharing. So thank you all for helping me even if you didn't know you were :-)

I think I finished W7 yesterday. I say 'think' because my iPod battery ran out at about 8ish minutes. My thought process went along the lines of 'oh no! I can't do this! How will I cope with no music to distract me and no Laura to encourage me?' Followed by 'pants... I don't have a watch, how will I know when to stop?!'

Anyway, I discovered that running with no music is possible, once I'd got over the panic. Since I was running the route of my previous 25 min runs I figured I'd just have to get to somewhere around where I usually stopped. Then I worried that I was going faster than usual (for some reason with no music it felt like I was), so in order to be extra sure I'd ran for 25 minutes I ended up running a little further, very slowly, just in case. I seem to have survived :-)

I'll probably make a start on week 8 in a couple of days, but I'm going to make sure Laura is fully charged this time...

x
