done it ! 25 minutes non stop running , i'm so happy with that especially
considering back in week 1 just 6 weeks ago i felt like i was dying after 60 seconds.
This is no lie, the hardest part of that was my thoughts yesterday and this morning .
Then once i went out of that door there was no way i was going back until i had run for 25 minutes! NO WAY !
5 min warm up done , spotify started and those famous single notes signalling the start of Pink Floyd's 'Echoes' Were off !!!
after 5 minutes i'm just happy with my pace and thinking why have i not run with music before ?
laura comes in to say i should be happy with my pace now and not to get over confident ! (no worries there! it's still early days!)
this is the first session i have done where i have not constantly been checking the app to see the time.
i didn't need to, i know every note of this music haha
next thing i know is the halfway bell and laura telling me i have now run 12.5 minutes ! wow, couldn't believe it 😊🏃♂️
still enjoying 'Echoes' and really in the groove now .
turned a corner and the next part is uphill, never mind, slow it down a tad and use those arms ! save the legs ! 👍
hill conquered with around 5 mins to go , i've got this in the bag was my thoughts.
a little downhill bit now for a minute was welcome.
before i knew it the end of 'Echoes' perfectly timed as laura comes in to tell me i have just 60 seconds left and pick up the pace if i want to ! Why not i thought even though the last 30 seconds was uphill again i decided to pick up the pace just then the next track to come on was 'Breathe' completely unplanned !
it just made me laugh as i crossed my finish line, uphill with a HUGE smile on my face ! 😬
then to finish it off Laura declares i'm now officially a runner 🏃♂️ So happy 😬
Looking forward to Week 7 now !
