The run went well enough, 5th run was uphill but just shortened the stride an inch or two, my problems came a little later, my heals are cracking.

Any advice, apart from moisturise.

erm ... moisturise more! Especially at night, leave some heavy duty cream on your heels. I use one marketed as "cuticle butter" but it's very thick so does the job. Bit of exfoliation too (pumice when showering). I have horribly cracked heels and dry skin in general. Definitely keep a lid on it before it gets deep and painful!
