Did Week 5 Run 1 with relative ease today. I say relative because I was clock watching all the way through the last 5 minutes but I slowed it right down and finished feeling good. I now have a bit more confidence about completing the 8 minute stints (especially as there are only two of them) and I’ll reserve judgement on Run 3 until after I’ve completed Run 2. My lungs are currently behaving themselves though I am still wheezy but at least they’re not preventing me completing the distance. The difference for me is psychological I think. Having the support here has made the difference from feeling like I’m a crazy lone wolf who has no business trying to run 5K with impaired lungs to feeling the love on here and seeing people less fit and older than me conquering the distance. Strength in the collective for sure! I’m enjoying the running too!

You are doing great
Thank you!
You are very welcome, keep it slow with the longer runs and they will go smoothly and have fun, becoming a runner is hard but lots of fun too
Yes, slowing down is the answer. I think the first 4 weeks of this are the hardest. I feel quite a bit stronger now both physically and mentally.
