Week 4 run 2 New trainers

First day out in my new trainers, they are Asics trainers. I like them, the ones on the right I bought to help me up the muddy hills, but as you can see the sun has arrived and I will put them away for the winter.

The bottle of red wine! Because in September I will enter the Cannelli Wine Run.

I wasn’t looking forward to today’s run. It is 24C, and today’s run looked hard.

I was fortunate that the 5min run started at the top of the hill and then continued along the flat. But trying to get ready for the next run whilst walking up a steep hill was difficult.

I was also so preoccupied by the thought of the longer runs that I didn’t really enjoy the run and I also took a wrong turning along the track and arrived at a massive downhill just as the bell rang.

I will be ready for the next run on Saturday.

Good Luck out there

PN

Hi Miss wobble, the wine run is always fun. My training runs aren’t normally fun

They will be! If you are running in stunning scenery then praise be 😁

Yay, well done!! I was also worried about the 5 minute run but in the end it was ok. We are now running more than we are walking - high five week four buddy!

Well done, PN! If you can conquer the hills then it will make you very speedy on the flat. I envy you your Asics, they are beautiful.

The mud has gone, so I unwrapped the new blue shoes :) :)

It all looks very rustic and scenic. Do you need sunscreen in that heat or are you used to it?

The weather gets crazy here. In the winter we can get minus 23c and in the summer plus 34.

I use sunscreen and hide in bars

You sound like my kind of person - I’d be the same. I was worried I’d burn today and am not even in a particularly sunny country!

Now if my local bar installed a running machine I would be in seventh heaven

Well done on completing it anyway even though it was tough, Pecora. I really struggled with w4r1 so much on Monday that I haven’t been out since. Am going to redo it today though.

I love your new shoes, bet they give you a spring in your step and amazing scenery too (not forgetting the best bit, the lovely wine 😁)!

I admire you for redoing it and not moving on or quitting

Go for it

Thank you! I redid w4r1 yesterday and it was still a big struggle. Going to get back there tomorrow though 💪🏃🏻‍♀️

How’s yours going?

I have just and I mean just started breathing normally after Week 4 run 2.

Can someone tell me if this running is good for me, because I feel like a train wreck at the moment, and I look like one.

To be honest the run was hard because I was out partying till 2:30 and the temp today is 23 C

Psst, I’m quietly proud I managed to complete all 4 of the runs today 😀

That’s quite a feat after a late night, impressive!

I’m not convinced how good running is for me either, certainly doesn’t feel like it at the time!

It is now the day after the run, and I don’t know why I was complaining !

I am ready to go out and punish myself again 🙃🙃
