It dawned on the me today that I always have a worse Thursday 12th than Friday 13th, so it was destiny yesterday that meant I couldn’t run!
So, off I went back to the gym this morning, and after a few nerves setting in, I tuned in Genesis, set Jo up, got my air drum sticks out and away I went! And I NAILED IT - Whoop whoop!! I also had the voice (so to speak) and vibes of Flaraflarkin still buzzing from her last Week 6 run yesterday (Thank you!): feel the buzz Flaraflarkin 😁.
My eldest son came up with a great idea, break the run into 5 minute chunks. I know I can run for 5 minutes, so just do 5 x 5 minute consecutive runs. So, I put the timer on my phone and kept restarting it each time I finished 5 minutes, and it did actually help. This is from a boy who’s idea of exercise is running up the stairs to get his phone.
And I sped up for the last 30 seconds too! Couldn’t do the 1 minute Jo asked for but it’s a start.
And I’ve warned my youngest son that parkrun is only 3 weeks away now...
