Run for Fun in the Sun for Abel

looking at the weather now (raining) it's hard to believe that yesterday was so nice and sunny, even a little bit warm and I (as 'Runner 5') was out in it, soaking up some much needed Vitamin D - or having my body produce it, one of the two, I forget how it works, and listening to the banter between Doc Myers and Sam Yeo as they direct me to the toy shops, then the hobby shops, then the paint shops then another paint shop, then another.

Geeks live on after the Zombie Apocalypse, the reason I got sent to so many shops was because Doc and Sam want to play Dungeons & Darkness and want the figurines, the paints, and a copy of the rule book.

Well, the world as we know it may have ended, but you still need to laugh (and apparently the kids at Abel have less scurvy. So...things are going OK, I suppose)

I also took the opportunity to explore a different footpath around where I live. I've run past the entrance a few times but I went down there today and found that it leads over the railway tracks and around the back of the nearest village. Can't run on the path as it's not paved and definitely can't run it during or after the rain because it's not even covered in gravel. But it was an experience.

As well, hope it dries out tomorrow so I can do my next mission

Take care

do you find you reply when someone from Abel talks to you, too?

I sometimes end up stopping still and find myself saying: "Really, Sam? Really?"

I do like all the banter, but often think a baseball bat, where am I going to carry that?😄

It's good fun though isn't it.😊x

I'll be honest, I sometimes wonder 'how big is my backpack?'

i use the 'Zombies, Run!' app. It's an audio drama designed for running, you're 'Runner 5' for Abel Township, one of the settlements for survivors of the on-going zombie apocalypse.

Oo, I’ve heard of that. Maybe I’ll give it a go when I eventually complete week 9!

it's loads of fun. Very addictive once the story really gets going
