Managed week 7 ok. Picked a very hilly route for day 1 week 8. Defeated me. Managed 20 mins. Will have to have another go tomorrow or Wednesday and hopefully back will feel a bit better then

I’m impressed you tackled a hilly route... well done. 💪🏻

Everywhere is hilly round me. But need to avoid this one for a while or turn it into a challenge

I had a blip during W7. It passed. Yours will too. Day off, nother go, success! 😊

Ah yes, hills - the programme tends to assume you stay more or less on the same terrain. So no wonder you struggled. Still its a run and kms in the running bank and that will help you.

Good luck for your rerun

Here in Sussex near Crowborough where ever I go there are hills

Me too - my house in Italy is at the top of one -- back stitching was the way I coped - I’d forgotten to mention that well done to AnnieW55

I posted this earlier to another hill liver. Some of us are fairly well stuck with hills due to location (and in my case reluctance to drive to flatter areas).

The best thing I learned when I started was to back stitch my hills. This actually means you run further on the hill but gives you some recovery time at the same time.

From the bottom of a hill run (small steps remember😀) to the first lamp post or a marker, now run back down to your start. Then you run to the second lamp post, or marker, turn round and run down to the first one, then up two and down one (which will be the second post/marker) and so on until you get to the top. This is how I learnt to get to the top of my particular nemesis although it does still beat me sometimes, generally it now let's me run up it in one go 😄.

Like that idea. My normal route I battle through as a couple of short and sweet and then a long gentler incline which can defeat me but head down and keep going. Today went a different way and just didn’t appreciate how steep the footpath was and my back is aching from a boot camp session on Saturday. Hoping to be more up for it tomorrow or wed. May drive to a local old railway line path that is fairly

Flat tomorrow
