The universe is conspiring against me

You know when you have a day where the universe isn’t rooting for you? After the whole trainer fiasco (see previous post), I went to the gym, lifted weights for 45mins then went to the treadmill. Got through the warm up walk but as soon as the run hit, on came the knee pain! I figure it’s because I’m hyper aware that not having the right shoe could lead to injury after my gait analysis yesterday. So I quit halfway through and I’ve decided to hold off on running again until my new shoes arrive. Surprisingly, the runs weren’t as bad today as W2R1.

Was the universe trying to stop you from running today?

Yes it was - my usual route was flooded! Found another one though and completed the run.

Typical! Glad you managed to finish it though

Maybe just do cardio on run days and weights on rest days.

That’s what I usually do! But I was only working my upper body so it wasn’t hurting my knee at all. Don’t know what happened!

Absolutely - but today I beat the universe! :D Lack of sleep, really erratic eating over the weekend, leggings which were trying to work their way down, lost glasses... and yet I still won! ;)

Try these exercises, they helped me after a niggle. You need to buy a mini resistance band (cheap enough online).
